Explore a Land of Sweets Where Work Is Outlawed
Big Rock Candy Hexcrawl is a build-your-own hexcrawl through a lackadaisical, idyllic paradise inspired by leftist folk music. For use in an existing campaign or as a one-shot.

It uses tiles from Settlers of Catan to procedurally generate the map as players explore.
Big Rock Candy Hexcrawl is a system-neutral adventure but includes three separate files with stats for 20 brand new monsters for the following OSR systems:
- Old-School Essentials from Necrotic Gnome
- Knights of the Road by Bordercholly
- Errant by Ava Islam

(A printer friendly black-and-white, art-free version is included.)

GMed for the first time last night using this game. What a delight.
Our honest raconteur is on a quest for a printing press so he can start a newspaper, our lumberjack/railroad deserter got his patent back from the railroad tycoon, and our former banker turned reluctant robber is on the run from the law. The tycoon's goons are on their way to join a union.
I love this! All those varied goals are going to be a great engine to drive your sandbox adventures; feel free to keep us updated!
